Who runs the corner

The Corner Counter is written and published by BAR E LANCHES LAPA DE BAIXO LTDA, a limited company registered in Brazil under CNPJ 62.002.720/0001-43, with its snack bar on Rua Engenheiro Fox in the Lapa district of São Paulo. Mail for the people who write these pages goes to contato@betterafternoonsclub.com, and every message is opened by a human being.

How the section pays its way

Right now the essays carry no links to any shop. That may change. A future page could carry a link to a shop based in America; should someone follow it and place an order, that shop may pass the snack bar's company a cut of whatever was bought. We would flag it in so many words right beside the link, before anybody clicks. The price you pay would be set by the store, not by us.

What we are not

We are not a clinic and nobody writing here is a physician. The essays describe ordinary routines and general reading about them. Questions about your own body go to your own doctor.
